Principle of dry type transformer
 
Dry type transformer is a kind of electrical appliance which transmits electric energy or signal from one circuit to another circuit by using the principle of electromagnetic induction. It is an important component of electric energy transmission or signal transmission. It is widely used in local lighting, high-rise buildings, airports, docks, CNC mechanical equipment and other places. In short, dry-type transformer refers to the transformer whose core and winding are not immersed in insulating oil. Dry type transformer is mainly divided into open type, closed type and pouring type.

Principle of dry type transformer main forms
 
Next, we will introduce the main forms of dry-type transformer, which can be divided into the following types:
 
 
 
1. Open type: it is a commonly used form. Its body is in direct contact with the atmosphere. It is suitable for relatively dry and clean rooms. Generally, there are two cooling methods: air self cooling and air cooling.
 
 
 
2. Closed type: the device is located in a closed shell and is not in direct contact with the atmosphere.
 
 
 
3. Pouring type: epoxy resin or other resin pouring is used as the main insulation. It has simple structure and small volume, and is suitable for transformers with small capacity.

Principle of dry type transformer
 
The working principle of dry-type transformer, like other transformers, follows the physical principle of voltage technology required for the use of electrical and magnetic coupling: when the current flows through the wire, it will produce a changing magnetic field or the surrounding "magnetism". The magnetic field around the wire fluctuates and it generates the current in the wire. Therefore, there will be a fluctuating magnetic field in the second line and the first line, and the current is induced to flow in the second line. So the power is passed from the first wire to the second wire, and there is no actual contact between the two wires.
 
 
 
Dry type transformer structure
 
Dry type transformer is mainly composed of iron core made of silicon steel sheet and coil cast by epoxy resin. Insulating cylinder is placed between high and low voltage coils to increase electrical insulation, and the coil is supported and restrained by cushion block. The fasteners overlapped with its parts have anti loosing performance.
 
 
 
Structure and performance: (1) solid insulation encapsulated winding, (2) non encapsulated winding
 
 
 
Winding: of the two windings, the one with higher voltage is the high voltage winding and the one with lower voltage is the low voltage winding. From the relative position of high and low voltage windings, high voltage can be divided into concentric type and overlapping type. The concentric winding is simple and easy to manufacture. Overlapping type, mainly used for special transformers.
