The differences between American box type transformer and European box type transformer are as follows:
1、 European box type transformer
European box type transformer 1. Main components of box type transformer: transformer, 10kV ring network switch cabinet, low-voltage capacitor, low-voltage switch and other main components, which is equivalent to compactly installing the equipment of type III station in the metal box, so as to miniaturize the type III station. The volume of European box type transformer is higher and larger than that of American box type transformer, and its cost is also larger than that of American box type transformer;

Connection form of box type transformer: A. single distribution transformer - two 10kV incoming lines; capacity of single transformer is generally 500KVA ~ 800kVA; low voltage outgoing cable is generally 4 ~ 6. b. There are two distribution transformers: two 10kV incoming lines; two transformers, each with a capacity of 500KVA ~ 800kVA; 8 ~ 12 low-voltage outgoing cables;
3. The noise is equivalent to that of type III station and type I station; the radiation is lower than that of American box type transformer, because the transformer of European box type transformer is placed in the metal box to play the role of shielding; distribution automation can be set, which not only has the advantages of type III station and type I station, but also has the main advantages of American box type transformer.
2、 American box type transformer
American box transformer 1. Main components of box transformer: transformer, 10kV ring switch, 10kV cable plug, low voltage pile head box and other main components. It has the advantages of small volume, low cost and easy installation;
2. Small size, small floor area, easy to place, easy to camouflage, easy to coordinate with the environment of the community. It can shorten the length of low-voltage cable, reduce line loss, and reduce the cost of power supply;
3. Connection form of box type transformer: one or two 10kV incoming lines; single transformer with capacity of 500KVA ~ 800kVA; 4 ~ 6 low voltage outgoing cables.
