According to its different structure, dry-type transformer can be divided into open type, closed type and pouring type. Open type transformer is the most common application form in the market at this stage. In the harsh environment, because the closed transformer is in the closed shell, it does not have direct contact with the outside air, so it can be used in closed places such as mines. The proportion of transformer increased significantly, and the output continued to increase
The upstream industry of dry-type transformer mainly includes ordinary steel, silicon steel sheet, non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, etc., and also includes epoxy resin as encapsulation material of dry-type transformer. The downstream industry mainly includes petrochemical, power grid construction, urban rail transit and other industries, which is an important product classification of transformer.
In recent years, with the development of China's power business and the reform and construction of transmission and distribution business, the demand for transformers is large. From 2009 to 2014, the output of transformer in China increased continuously, and after 2015, with the relative saturation and transformation of market demand, the output decreased slightly. In 2014, the transformer output reached the highest value in recent years, which was 1.701 billion KVA, an increase of 11.69% over the previous year. Affected by the decline of transmission and distribution prices and serious waste of products, the output of the industry has decreased in recent years. By 2017, the domestic transformer output was only 159 million V / A, and the growth rate decreased significantly. However, the output value of Jiangsu, Shandong and Hebei are still in the forefront of the market.

In terms of output, the output of dry-type transformer in China expands with the expansion of the capacity of transformer industry in China. According to the statistics of China Federation of machinery industry, the output of transformers in China is 233 million KVA in 2014. Under the influence of market demand preference of dry-type transformers, the output of dry-type transformers in China is still increasing after 2014, reaching 235.94 million KVA by 2016.
Overall analysis shows that dry-type transformers account for about 10% of the total output of transformers in China. With the development of urban rail transit projects and the increasing demand for construction, the proportion of dry-type transformers is increasing in recent years.

The scale of the industry is relatively stable and the profit is improved
According to the analysis report on market demand forecast and investment strategic planning of China's dry-type transformer industry in 2018-2023 issued by foresight Industry Research Institute, in recent years, the overall market scale of China's dry-type transformer has fluctuated slightly, and has remained above 45 billion yuan since 2013. Affected by the overall fluctuation of the industry and the decline of output in 2015, the sales revenue of dry-type transformer decreased to 49.377 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.13%. Subsequently, the scale of the industry increased, and the sales revenue of domestic dry-type transformer industry reached 54.747 billion yuan in 2017.
From the analysis of the overall total profit of the industry, in 2017, the total profit of dry-type transformer in China increased most significantly, reaching 3.27 billion yuan, an increase of 28.52% over the previous year.
