Winding fault

Casing fault

 

The fouling of transformer casing will cause pollution flashover in fog or rain, which makes the transformer high voltage side single-phase ground or phase short circuit.

Serious leakage

 

If the oil leakage of the transformer is serious or continuously overflows from the damaged place from time to time, resulting in the oil level gauge being unable to see the oil level, the transformer should be stopped immediately to stop making up the leakage and oil filling. The causes of the oil leakage of the transformer are weld cracking or sealing parts failure, the oil tank is seriously rusted and damaged due to vibration external force during operation.

 

Tap changer

 

Common problems include poor contact or incorrect position of tap changer, condensation and burn on contact surface, discharge of interphase contact or discharge of each tap.

 

Overvoltage

 

When the transformer in operation is struck by lightning, due to the high lightning potential, the external overvoltage of the voltage transformer will be formed. When some parameters of the power system change, due to the electromagnetic oscillation, the Internal Overvoltage of the transformer will be caused. The damage of the transformer caused by these two kinds of overvoltage is mostly the main insulation breakdown of the winding, resulting in the transformer fault.

 

Iron core

 

Most of the problems of the iron core are caused by the insulation damage of the core piercing screw of the iron core column or the clamping screw of the iron core.

 

Oil leakage

 

 

 

If the oil level of transformer oil is too low, the bushing lead and tap changer will be exposed to the air, and the insulation degree will be greatly reduced, which will easily cause breakdown discharge.
