
Dry-type transformers are electrostatic equipment used to convert a specific value of alternating voltage (current) into another voltage or current of the same value.
Dry-type transformer is one of the main equipment in power supply system. Dry-type transformers can not only raise the voltage to the power consumption area, but also reduce the voltage to all levels of service voltage to meet the demand for electricity. In short, the boost and buck must be done by the transformer. In the process of power transmission in the power system, voltage and power loss are inevitably generated. When the same power is output, the voltage loss is inversely proportional to the voltage and the power loss is inversely proportional to the square of the voltage. Power transformers are used to increase voltage and reduce power transmission losses.
Due to insulation damage, operating errors and natural disasters caused by the power supply system short circuit current is generally dozens of times larger than the normal current hundreds of times or even tens of thousands of high-power amplifier system or hundreds of thousands of amperes. It can do a lot of damage to the power system, and in severe cases, the power grid can go down.
