Recently, the Electric Power Research Institute commissioned the China Machinery Industry Association to hold an appraisal meeting in Beijing on the key skills, series of equipment development and engineering application of on-load regulating and voltage regulating distribution transformers. The appraisal committee appraised that the series products of on-load regulating capacity and voltage regulating distribution transformer developed by the project have reached the international leading level. Distribution Transformer is the center and primary loss equipment of distribution network. There are more than 100000000 distribution transformer connected to the network. With the rapid development of China's social economy, the power load of the distribution network has increased rapidly, and presents obvious characteristics of seasonal and periodic power consumption, distribution transformer work shows overload burning loss, high proportion of no-load loss, large reactive power loss, three-phase load serious imbalance and so on. The distribution transformer developed by the project can change the rated working capacity and the voltage tap changer according to the practical load and voltage situation, reduce the no-load loss of the transformer, and finish the voltage regulation, the economic working level of the forward distribution station area and the quality of forward power supply voltage. Compared with the traditional products, the no-load loss of the transformer can be reduced by 50% ~ 60% under small capacity operation. The on-load capacity-regulating and voltage-regulating distribution transformer series products can be used to deal with practical problems such as high no-load loss and low voltage caused by seasonal or periodic variation of power load in distribution network, especially in rural network, it has been applied in 27 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions such as Beijing and Shandong Province. Its market share is close to 100% and its working function is stable, achieved outstanding economic and social benefits.
