The appraisal committee appraised that the series of on-load regulating capacity and voltage regulating distribution transformer developed by the project have reached the world-leading level. Distribution transformer is the core and primary loss equipment of distribution network. There are more than 100000000 distribution transformer running on the network. With the rapid development of China's social economy, the electric load of the distribution network has increased rapidly, and it has shown remarkable seasonal and periodic characteristics of electric power consumption, distribution transformer operation presents overload burning loss, high proportion of no-load loss, large reactive power loss, three-phase load serious imbalance and so on. The distribution transformer developed by the project has the function of on-load capacity regulation and voltage regulation, which can change the extra operating capacity method and voltage tap change according to the practical load and voltage condition, reduce the no-load loss of the transformer itself, and complete the voltage regulation, improve the economic operation level of distribution stations, improve the quality of power supply voltage. Compared with the traditional products, the no-load loss of the transformer can be reduced by 50% ~ 60% under small capacity operation. The on-load capacity-regulating and voltage-regulating distribution transformer series commodities can be used to deal with practical problems such as high no-load loss and low voltage caused by seasonal or periodic changes of power load in distribution networks, especially in rural networks, it has been applied in 27 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions such as Beijing and Shandong. Its market share is close to 100% , and its operation function is stable, achieved outstanding economic and social benefits.
